Mrs. B. Alexander's Web Page

Hello my name is Beth Alexander.  I teach Career and Technical Education which includes Drafting and Construction Technology.   In 1980, I graduated from ECU in Industrial Arts with a concentration of Electronics and Graphic Design; and in 1992, I obtained a Master of Science in Manufacturing.

After working in a Pharmaceutical Industry for 9 years, testing computer systems, I decided to come back to my love of teaching and have been at Croatan since 1999.  If you should need to contact me, please e-mail me at beth.alexander@carteretk12.org or call 393-7022.  My office hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00-3:15 in room 411 (next to the Art room).

I  will be teaching Construction I (room 215) for the entire school year.   Please view the course information below by clicking on the links below.  There is a copy of the course syllabus (Outline), class rules and weekly lesson plans.  Please keep in mind that sometimes the lesson plans may vary slightly, dependent on time elements out of our control.  In most cases, the plans are accurate.  My students know what information is accurate or inaccurate.

This is my fifth year as an advisor for SkillsUSA formally known as VICA.   Chris Pant was 1st place in Technical Computer Applications, Daniel Johnston 2nd place in Technical Computer Applications, Josh Fulp was 1st place in Carpentry, Blake Young 3rd place in FirstAid/CPR, Regina LaCarrubba 2nd place Food&Beverage Service, Lauren Davis 4th place Spelling, Mat Siberian 5th place in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Team consisting of: Kenneth Palmer, Trey Jones, and Josh Wells 2nd place in Tool ID.  We have had another successful year and will be off to Nationals the week of June 20. Wish us well in the upcoming endeavors.  All of my students are winners and I am very proud of them and their hard work.   Yearly dues are only $20.00.  Please encourage your child to join!!!!!!!!!!!!
