Hello my name is Beth Alexander, formally known as Beth Kelly. I teach Career and Technical Education which includes Drafting and Construction Technology. In 1980, I graduated from ECU in Industrial Arts with a concentration of Electronics and Graphic Design; and in 1992, I obtained a Master of Science in Manufacturing.
After working in a Pharmaceutical Industry for 9 years, testing computer systems, I decided to come back to my love of teaching and have been at Croatan since 1999. If you should need to contact me, please e-mail me at beth.alexander@carteret.k12.org or call 393-7022. My office hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:40-3:00 in room 411 (across from the band room).
I will be teaching Construction I (room 215) for the entire school year. Please view the course information below by clicking on the links below. There is a copy of the course syllabus (Outline), class rules and weekly lesson plans. Please keep in mind that sometimes the lesson plans may vary slightly, dependent on time elements out of our control. In most cases, the plans are accurate. My students know what information is accurate or inaccurate.
This
is my third year as an advisor for SkillsUSA formally known as VICA. Dane Goodlin took 1st place in Spelling at the SE Regional
and State Competitions this past year. Tyler Cannon won 4th place in Technical Computer

participants and their hard work. Yearly
