Students Get Rocked by Faculty Last Friday, February 22, our own senior class and our own faculty went at each other in a grudge match for the student-faculty basketball game. The final score of the game was 45-30, in favor of the aged faculty. The faculty was led by the great play of Deputy Fred Meadows and Principal Yeomans. These two characters tore up the youth adults with a run and gun style of play. The senior team did not really counter the faculty's style of play. They just, played. "We should have beat them worse," stated Principal Yeomans on the game. Principal Yeomans swears that he had at least 18 of those points, even though his shot wasn't on like he was expecting it to be. Fred Meadows, despite old age and suffering from injury, had a great game for the faculty. Posting 11 points for them, including a questionable three-pointer, he was the second leading scorer to Yeomans. "As expected, the athletic ability of myself and my fellow faculty members outweighed the youth of the senior class, literally," said Meadows. Another big time player for the faculty was B. Downing, from CHS's science department. Big "D" had a good inside game and had some nice words to say about the game. "We came, we saw, kicked their...," he said. The students really didn't have
any standouts except for Eric McInerny with 11 points. Well, I don't know
how we lost because we beat them a bunch of times in scrimmages. "It
was rigged!" blasted Blane M. in disgust because of the defeat. Blane
had 2 points, some rebounds, and an assist. All other players had a
minimal effect on the game and embarrassed themselves for the most part.
Just wait 'til next year faculty members, the juniors shall prevail!
