An emphasis will be placed on providing professional development for the faculty and staff of CHS.

a)      formulate a school plan to allocate Staff Development funds by semester and department for a three year period

b)      seek grant money to provide substitute teachers for staff development activities

c)      request countywide workshops on issues that affect the whole district

d)      request the BOE to allocate additional funds for non-Title One schools for staff development

e)      request the BOE to provide substitutes for teachers who are absent to attend workshops

The schedule of Croatan High School will be realigned to accommodate periodic departmental meetings and full staff meetings.

 

a)      Schedule common lunch period by department

b)      Schedule monthly departmental planning meetings

c)      Request workdays to be scheduled evenly throughout the school year to provide days for departmental and staff meetings

d)      Seek BOE approval for late start time to provide for early morning staff meetings
