3rd grade began the year learning about tools that make artists
use. We began with the compass to make circles and then moved
to the ruler with straight lines.

Students learned color-mixing, highlights, shadows, and use of
space and overlapping

Starry Night.
Students reviewed color mixing and mood of paintings. They
finger-painted their own Starry Night.
