| I graduated from West Carteret High
School in 1996. I attended Nursing School at the University of North
Carolina at Wilmington and in my last semester of Nursing School
realized that I wanted to work with children, not sick people for the
next 30+ years. I transferred into the School of Education and graduated
from UNCW in 2004. I taught third grade at Newport Elementary my first
year out of college, then transferred into first grade where I stayed
for the last 4 years. I wanted to work with older children and was
fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work at Bogue Sound teaching
fifth grade. I attended Carteret County Schools from Kindergarten
through the 12th grade and believe that Carteret County Schools are the
best by far. I believe the teachers in this county have a real dream for
the children that sit before them and they work extra hard to make that
dream a reality. I am enjoying being at Bogue Sound and working with
your child. I too, have dreams for the students that are sitting before
me and with your help we can make these dreams come true.
