How can we use our imagination and creative processes to capture images of everyday objects with a camera to be viewed by others as the letters of the alphabet?

How will positive and negative space, as well as contrast be used to create the images?

Photographic Alphabet

Getting Started:

Using the internet as your resource, find an interesting example of a "photography alphabet" (or an alphabet created through photographs).

Cut and paste a picture of the alphabet into the Artwork Review template. Complete the questions provided and save your document in the tech and art folder.

Create your own alphabet!

Drawing inspiration from the alphabets found on the internet, use your own digital camera to capture images illustrating the letters of the alphabet. Consider the following: Will the images be of spontaneous objects or created by manipulating materials or people? Will the photos be color or black and white? Will the alphabet have a theme? How will the alphabet be arranged into one document with a title?

Use the Alphabet Checklist to keep up with images captured.
