3D Art

Students taking Three Dimensional Art will create realistic and abstract sculptures utilizing the subtractive and additive processes of carving, modeling, construction and assemblage. Clay, wood, metal, wire, found objects and paper are some of the media that will be used. Students will engage in experiences that encompass art history, art appreciation, art criticism, aesthetics and production. Works produced in this course will lead to the creation of portfolio quality works.

Prerequisites: Foundations I and II

Grades: 7, 8
