What is POWER WRITING?

Power Writing assigns numerical value to sentences and paragraphs:  1st POWER for the MAIN IDEA; 2nd POWER for the supporting details; and 3rd POWER for the minor details.

It starts at mastery of a 3 sentence paragraph and progresses in easily mastered stages to a 5 sentence paragraph, and eventually and 5 paragraph paper.

It teaches you to communicate ideas through well-designed, simple, striking prose.

It sharpens your writing skills with practical techniques for achieving brevity, coherence, clarity, and action.

It will review all of the grammar and punctuation you will need.

It will provide you with stage-by-stage personal guidance in development of your own individualistic style.

Power Writing strives for the goal of 100% literacy.
