Computer Lab Procedures

Procedure for Working in the Lab:

·   Please sit in assigned seats and wait for instructions before logging into the computer. Fill out the Lab Technical Problem form if something is wrong with your computer.

·   Always check to make sure your work area is in the correct location and report any problems with your laptop or mouse.

·   Do not bring food or drinks to the lab. No one wants a sticky keyboard.

·   When teachers ask you to help others with their work, be sure to guide classmates through solving computer assignments.  Do not do take over their computer and do their assignment for them.

·  To save ink and paper, print preview all documents.  Check the location of the printer before you print.  Only send one print message to the printer.  If it doesn’t print, ask the teacher for help before printing a second copy.  If you need to make multiple copies of your document, use the copy machine.

·  Save to your folder first. Then save to the drop box when asked to do so.
