Core 1:  Circle Measurement:  Activity: " Putting a Round Peg into a Square Hole" Finish coloring the quarters of the circle.  Cut out the final quarter and paste this part of the circle on the borders within the three  remaining squares.  Any leftover circle parts wii need to be pasted outside of the square regions.  Students will count and record how many squares are left over.

Cores 2, 3, and 4:  Record required formulas for seventh grade EOG.  Use note cards and hole punch for storage on notebook ring.  Review  number proporties:  Communitive, Associative, Identity, and Zero.  Introduce distributive property and its use in mental math.

Core 1:  Finish formula cards for all Cores. Go over selected problems from Weekly Essentials Week 11 for Core 1 and 2.  Hand out progress notes for all cores.  Remind students that an afterschool session will be held Thursday, Novemeber 29, from 3:00 to 4:00. Prompt pickup at 4:00 is required.

Core 1: Continue reviewing skills from Wk. 11 Essentials.  Introduce surface area of prisms and cylinders:  pg. 442-444.  Review the examples given for each object.  Assign the even problems from pg. 445 to 447.

Core 2:  Continue reviewing skills from Wk. 11 Essentials. Introduce area of combined figures, pg. 413-416, reviewing given examples. Assign pg. 416-418 problems  1-9.

Core 3: Introduce area of combined figures, pg. 413-416, reviewing given examples. Assign pg. 416-418 problems  1-9.

Core 4: Review circumference and area of circles. Use examples on pg. 419-421 for guided practice.  Assign pg. 422-424 problems 1-3, 7-9, 16-19.
