8/27-8/31 Lesson Plans
Monday:

  • Class expectations and supplies

  • Hand out Math texts. 

  • Daily Warm up activities and Weekly Essentials

  • Activity centered lessons with interesting and meaningful context

  • 100 meter dash to be run in the next 2 weeks.
Tuesday:

  •    Finish class surveys from Mon. if needed.

  • Introduce Weekly Essentials.  Begin Week One:  Keeping Skills Sharp,  Begin to set up solutions for word problems from front of activity sheet.

  • Begin Mental Math Minutes :  Minutes 1 and  2 for all classes.
Wednesday

  • Begin Magic Card pattern activity:  "I can read your mind."

  •  Continue working on "Weekly Essential WK. 1.

 
Thursday

  • Review spreadsheet terminology and form.  Review the use of double bar graphs vs. double line graphs.  When is one more preferable to the other?  Work together on Ch.11,  L.2 problems. Complete the oral portion of Wk.One from Weekly Essentials.

  • Time permitting begin vocabulary for box and whisker plots. Review stem and leaf plots,

  • Ch. 11, L. 3. 

Friday
  • Complete one minute computational drill.  Create a box and whisker plot for items 9 and 10 on pg. 588.  Complete problems 12-23.
