Experience a Different Education System 

1. List three items about Rastrick High School that you liked the best and three that you liked the least.
2. Name something you think we do a little better at either Beaufort Middle or East Carteret High than Rastrick High.
3. If you could adopt one of Rastrick High's educational system (schedules, classes, subject etc.) what would it be? Give 3 supporting reasons why we should change our school or system.
4. Imagine that you are a student at Rastrick High School. What ONE thing would you tell the students of Beaufort Middle is most difficult about your school?

Culture 

1. Rastrick High School students speak English, so what are some of the problems you have encountered while communicating with your host?
2. What are some of the differences in our two cultures?
3. Send me an email every time you learn a  new word. Example:  Trunk of a car is a boot. We will collect these and put them on our website.  

History and Geography

History

1. Research some of the history between United Kingdom and Scotland. What are some of the most interesting historical you have read and learned about during your research? It will be familiar, like the rivalry between ECHS and WCHS but on a larger scale.
2. What famous Scottish person did Mel Gibson play and what was his role in Scottish history?
3. Mary Queen of Scotts and Queen Elizabeth have a family connection. Explain a what their relationship was and how they got along.
4. What did the Scottsmen wear before kilts? Discribe the outfit and the other uses it served.
5. What is the "Crown Jewel" of Scotland?

Geography

1. Down load a map of England. Circle the following cities: London, Edinburgh, Manchaster (airport) Huddersfield, York and Brighouse. Make Brighouse your home base. How far is and in what direction is Brighouse from each of the places mentioned?
2. How far is Brighouse to Edinburgh?  What types of mass transit are used in the UK?
3. Edinburgh Castle is sitting on top of something. What is it and why do you think they built the castle on that location?
