Student Information

  • Be sure to read all included material in this packet.
  • The Carteret County Schools, Beaufort Middle School and East Carteret High School code of conduct will apply on this trip.  You will be expected to behave according to the county and school rules at all times. Refer to student planners for conduct expectations.
  • Between now and the trip, if you are charged with any legal crimes away from school, are suspended from school for any length of time, for any reason, you will not be permitted to attend the trip.
  • From the moment we being travel, any rule breaking will result in your being sent home immediately at your expense.
  • All money and deposits are non-refundable for any reason.
  • Remember that airport security is extremely strict.  DO NOT pack any items that could be misconstrued as weapons.
  • You are permitted ONE small carry-on bag and ONE large suitcase that.  Pack accordingly for ten days.  Make room for items you may purchase while in England.
  • The sales tax and cost of living where we are going is significantly higher.  DO not plan to buy necessities such as personal hygiene, etc, while we are there.  Bring it with you. 
  • You will be required to bring an additional $100 in emergency money, which will be kept by your chaperone in case you need it for an emergency. Any part of the $100 dollars that is not use for an emergency will be returned to your parents when we arrive home. Over spending is not considered an emergency!!!!!
  • Remember that appliances like hair-dryers will require an adapter to be plugged in. You can purchase the adaptors for the UK at Wal-mart or K-mart.
  • All forms must be filled out entirely, signed and sent in to either Ms. Sheehan at ECHS or Mrs. McCabe at BMS by Feb. 2nd.

  • Recommended ways to travel with money:  limited cash, traveler’s check and/or credit card.
