Each Friday, I meet for 30 minutes with a group of 5th graders to teach them how to crochet.

General Crochet instructions:  http://www.lionbrand.com/faq/learnToCrochet.pdf

Why it's great to be a crocheter:

  • Hand dexterity

  • hand and eye coordination

  • assists with concentration

  • increases math skills and following directions

  • relaxing

  • make items to give away

  • make items to keep

  • you can do it anywhere with anyone (brother, sister, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, friends)

  • it's fun!!
