Please make sure that your child is prepared each and every day!!!  Make sure that they have their needed supplies, homework, planner and most of all a positive and pleasant attitude!!!

Here is what is going on for the week of December 6-10, 2010...

Reading:  The students will work in their textbooks this week.  They will read the folktale The Emperor and the Kite.  We will focus on the skill of narrative elements and compound words this week.  We will have our story test on Friday.

Writing / Grammar:  The students will review the skill of subjects and predicates this week. 

Math:  .  We will finish working on Chapter 10, and have our test on Wednesday.  Please BUG your child about their multiplication facts!!  We will then begin Chapter 11 focusing on more multiplication with larger numbers, the distributive property, and estimation with products.  This is only getting more difficult and will continue to get more difficult....it will only be harder for your child if they do not know their facts frontwards, backwards, and inside out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spelling:  Here are the words for the week.  We will focus on words with the /or/ sound.
