    Our district covers a geographic area which reaches from the Carteret/Craven County line in Harlowe to the Morehead/Beaufort causeway. Students in grades PreK-5 enrolled at BES come to us from a wide variety of subdivisions and neighborhoods, old and new, located within the town limits and off Highways 101 and 70 within our school district.
        Award History:  A North Carolina School of Distinction 2000-01, 01-02, 02-03, 03/04.  A North Carolina Exemplary (High Growth) School  1996-97, 1999-2000, 2001-02, 2002-03.
