Mr. Holland Loves The Trees!  The Trees Love Him Back!

This issue is very IMPORTANT to the Marlin students in the 6th grade.  Ask us why this is so important to us?  Well, we will tell you.

• Have you ever thought about the Croatan Forest is being sold? 

• Do you realize how long it has been there? 

• Do you know what it holds? 

• Did you know that the Croatan Forest is 157,724 acres?   Of these about six hundred-forty acres are in OUR Carteret County which they are trying to sell! 

• Have you ever been in the Croatan Forest?

Well if you don't. that's okay because the 
Marlin students do!

Important Information On The Selling Of The Croatan Forest

    Mark Rey might sell 309,000 acres of National Forest across the country and 10,000 of that is from North Carolina forests. There are ten country sites that Mr. Rey is thinking of selling the forest from. One of the contacts that he wishes to sell  in the Croatan Forest  is two miles down from our school! I mean get real, the Marlins really do wish that he knew how they  felt. The Marlins will not give in to his opinion even though when Mr. Mark Rey came to our wonderful school, every one around could tell that he really wanted us to.

  Heads Up! The Marlin Students Are On It Again. Next They Are Writing To Congress.
