FROG
(For Responsible, Organized Girls/Guys)
Binders

What are FROG binders?
FROG binders are a way of creating organization and responsibility in students through an organized binder of specific folders

Where do I get one?
You can buy a 1-inch binder from any retail store you choose.  It needs to have a clear overlay on the front where you can insert a paper and it needs to have pockets in the front and back.

How do I organize my binder to be ready for the first day of school?

Folder in Front Pocket

The folder in the front pocket is the Take Home/Bring Back folder.

The Take Home is the left side and could include mail, completed work, or notes from Ms. Laura

The Bring Back is the right side and could include signed returned tests/quizzes, notes from parent to Ms. Laura

Zipper Pouch

The zipper pouch is the first thing you will see in the binder when you open it.  It holds pencils, pens, and erasers.

Loose Leaf Wide-Ruled Paper

Next there should be about 50 sheets of loose leaf paper to use daily and throughout the year.

Folders with FROG labels

After the looseleaf paper, there will be 3 plastic pocket folders with holes.  These will be labeled Math, Writing/Reading and Spelling.  These are kept in order and house all papers from that subject only

Behavior/Homework Chart in right back pocket

In the back pocket will be the Behavior/Homework Chart.  It will be marked daily by Ms. Laura and signed by parents EVERY NIGHT!!  I will provide this on the first day of school and every week thereafter.

Remember... the reason for the FROG binder is to stay organized-- so keep it that way!

ALL papers go in your FROG binder. There should be none in your desk at any time!!
