Information about the Holocaust Museum

The Holocaust museum serves as a research facility for scholars, teachers, and students of all ages. The Holocaust was responsible for the death of six million Jews. Holocaust means sacrifice by fire. The Germans thought that their race was superior to the Jews and every other race to. The Germans thought that the Jews were life unworthy of life. In 1933 Europe had over nine million Jews, by 1945, two out of every three European Jews had been killed. Jews were not the only people that were killed by the Nazis; others were Poles, and Russians. Communists, Socialists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Homosexuals also hated and killed by the Nazis. The Jews were put in concentration camps and were murdered, died of starvation, diseases, or neglect. The other non Jews were put in the same camps, Jews were mostly killed by a gas chamber the other people were just made to work and died of neglect. After the war over 700,000 Jews immigrated to Israel. The Jews suffered a lot through the Holocaust and still remain a major religious group today. This museum is a tribute to these people
