The Memorial for the Challenger Crew Robert Kennedy's grave Tomb of the Unknowns

Arlington National Cemetery is the second largest cemetery in the United States.  The cemetery was established during the Civil War on property once owed by Robert E. Lee.  More than 260,000 people are buried there. There are 58,000 graves from the Vietnam War, and many more from other wars. An older adjacent slave cemetery contains 3,800 graves.
There are approximately 5,400 burials each year. The flags each day fly at half-staff for a half hour before the first funeral until a half hour after the last funeral.
The 'Tomb of the Unknowns" is one of the more popular sights at Arlington Cemetery. There are four unknown soldiers buried there representing World War I,  World War II,  Korean Conflict, and Vietnam Conflict. The Unknown Soldier from the Vietnam Conflict was tested and found to be Michael J. Blassie, in May 14, 1998. The "Tomb of the Unknowns" is guarded twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Other memorials pay tribute to astronauts from the Challenger, "Mast of the  Maine", and the John F. Kennedy eternal flame and many other famous Americans.
